Former G40 Kingpins Saviour Kasukuwere, Walter Mzembi and Patrick Zhuwao are reported to have sought the assistance of South Africa’s  Umkhonto we Sizwe Veterans Association (MKVA) to negotiate with the former Command Element of Zimbabwe liberation fighters in pursuit of being readmitted into ZANU PF.

A highly placed South African source close to the developments told this reporter that, “The former Ministers of Mugabe are seeking to be readmitted into ZANU PF. They have engaged some MK Veterans to talk to former Zimbabwe liberation Comrades to convince ZANU PF to admit them back.

“They love their country and want to participate in its rebuilding and as fairly a younger generation, they are surely part of the future of Zimbabwe.”

The revelations come a few days after former Minister of Sport, Arts and Recreation Makhosini Hlongwane and former Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Deputy Minister Tapiwanashe Matangaidze applied for readmission to ZANU PF.”

Of the G40 former heavyweights, Professor Jonathan Moyo is on record saying he will never join ZANU PF again.

Since the November 2017 coup that ended 37 years of President Robert Mugabe’s rule, a number of former G40 senior officials are scattered in various countries where they sought exile.
